Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 and received great reviews from both music bloggers as well as the media. Half the World Away - by the Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two notable covers that the artist has done. Katy Perry, who endorsed the track Runaway from her side, gave her the track a little more attention. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding a grand piano that was in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see the possibilities it offered. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music as a passion rather than as a job. Her parents advised her to compose. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as her main influences. After her mother said that the songs she wrote could be used to not make her famous however, but to encourage people to realize the value of themselves and their impact in this world, she started performing them publicly. She started playing piano when she was just six and was writing her first song at the age of nine. It was not until she turned 14 that she revealed her plans to her parents. It was never a dream to turn into Aurora. Her only passion is to write music. For her music, it is the most effective means of communicating anything.
