Kim Delaney, an American actress best known as Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series, for which she was awarded the Emmy Award. She has also starred in shows like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the sole child of a United Auto Workers executive and his wife, a housewife. She grew up in a home that included four brothers. Though she had a aspiration to become journalist, it was not until high school that she began modeling. The actress lost custody of her son in the year 2005.
